This is England - Storyboard

The storyboard above is for This is England. The genre of the movie is Drama. The music stays the same throughout the first 2 minutes of the the movie. It is playing in the background of the movie. The font of the credits looks like the letters have been destroyed. The credits are not shown in every shot. This storyboard makes the audience hooked because in the first 2 minutes of the movie it shows audiences what the movie is about.

Different Camera Movement and Camera Views

Key for shot sizes:

MCU- Medium Close Up

These different shots, angles and movements are extremely important becasue they are the basic movements that should be used in most of the pieces we record. All of the shots that we see here should be used in our pieces too.

Technologies I Have Used

  • Youtube
  • Google
  • Blogger
  • HP final cut pro
  • Memory Stick
  • Imovie
  • imove sound effects
  • IMDB
  • sony handy cam digital camera

My Titles Using Imovie

I used iMovie to produce my titles. It was very easy to do as I choose the music from iMove sound effect. I chose a new project, went to the titles browser, chose vertical drift, four corners and side ways drift. then changed the sizes and fonts. then used the imovie sound effects over the top.

Description of Preliminary Task

Last weekend we had our preliminary task to do! Which was we had to film someone walking through a door, opening the door, walking through the room then sitting down and having a conversation with another person. We had to show a reverse shot and a wide shot. Dom and I paired up together and in my house we made it a FILM SETTING! We had so much fun together doing our first task. For a 2 minute task it took us a ridiculous amount of time! Although bear in mind we have never used cameras before! Dom was filming the task and we started off with our friend Izzy walking down my driveway, popping her head through the door window and then walking through the door. Our next clip was of Izzy opening two wide doors, making a grand entrance. Then sitting down and having a casual conversation with me. We had to follow the 180° rule and it was a very complicated task. We used Dom's video camera therefore it wasn't as good as the school's quality camera but we thought we better do it then have nothing! We are in the middle of cutting it and editing our film it should be up soon! FINGERS CROSSED.....

LITTLE UPDATE WITH THE PRELIMINARY TASK...we decided on filming it again using the schools camera we are still going to update our blog from home onto our profile! but the real PRELIMINARY TASK will be up shortly!!!

Charley's Preliminary Task Anamatic and Film Plan

AS media preliminary task, charley' fine arts media

This is the camera frames i drew and created an anamatic so it is easier for the audience to see what should be going on in each frame. Although i am clearly not a skilled artist, it should still make it clearer to readers what should go on in my preliminary task. The various different frames include, shot revers shot, continuity and many more rules and features in film making.

Preliminary Task Film Plan

This is a picture scanned onto the computer that i drew. It is a picture describing and showing my audience where the camera is going to be place in my preliminary task and what is going on in the task.
